Public Safety Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) provide in-building emergency radio coverage to first responders. A BDA (Bi-directional Amplifier) amplifies those signals, and then evenly distributes the amplified signals via the Distributed Antenna System (DAS).
An introduction to DAS
A Distributed Antenna System (DAS) uses a network of antennas and amplifiers to boost radio signals and rebroadcast them through the entire building. DAS enhances coverage in areas of a building where signals are often weak or unavailable and where coverage is required, such as stairwells, areas of refuge, and fire command rooms. This flexible solution serves as a backbone for robust and uninterrupted wireless communication, thus enhancing public safety.
